Two real Dublin quotes
The Home Upgrade Co. publishes two of its own quotes from August 2026 (The Home Upgrade Co.):
- A whole new kitchen in a Dublin semi: €12,131.38 including VAT, with the old kitchen removed and the walls made good.
- A single 7.33-metre run with full-height units, lacquered doors and a quartz worktop: €15,875.54, which is €12,906.94 plus €2,968.60 VAT. It left out removing the old kitchen, the skip, the electrics, the plumbing, the tiling and the painting.
That second kitchen works out at about €2,165 per linear metre, fitted, with VAT. The company calls it arithmetic on one real kitchen, not a rate card.

The extras a Dublin quote can leave out
Ask what's in the price before you compare two quotes. These are Aloco Kitchens' own figures for the jobs around the kitchen:
- Plumbing: €500 to €1,500
- Electrics: €500 to €2,000
- Tiling: €1,000 to €3,000
- Waste removal and delivery to a Dublin job: €500 to €1,000
- A steel beam to knock through: €2,000 to €4,000
By law, the electrics must be done by a Registered Electrical Contractor and gas work by a Registered Gas Installer, and each gives you a completion certificate when the job is done (CRU).
VAT on a Dublin kitchen
Revenue taxes the supply and installation of a fixture at the reduced rate, subject to the two-thirds rule, and the supply of fixtures or fittings alone at the standard rate. In practice the companies differ: The Home Upgrade Co. includes VAT at 23% in every price, and its €15,000 to €25,000 range is €12,195 to €20,325 before VAT. Aloco, Nolan and Kube don't say. Ask for the VAT on the quote, in writing.
Questions people ask
How much does a new kitchen cost in Dublin?
A new kitchen in Dublin costs €5,000 to €10,000 for a budget kitchen fully installed, €15,000 to €25,000 for a made-to-measure kitchen with a quartz worktop including VAT, and from €25,000 for a luxury one, by the prices Aloco Kitchens and The Home Upgrade Co. publish. Checked 1 November 2026.
How much does a kitchen remodel cost?
The same as a renovation, because it's the same job: €15,000 to €25,000 including VAT for a typical made-to-measure family kitchen in Dublin at The Home Upgrade Co. Add €2,000 to €4,000 if a wall comes down for a steel beam (Aloco Kitchens).
How much is a kitchen per metre?
About €2,165 per linear metre, fitted and including VAT, on one real 7.33-metre kitchen The Home Upgrade Co. priced in August 2026. That kitchen had sprayed lacquer doors and a quartz worktop, and left out the strip-out, skip, electrics, plumbing, tiling and painting.
Do kitchen prices include appliances?
Often not. Aloco Kitchens prices appliances separately at €1,000 to €3,000 for a budget kitchen, €3,000 to €6,000 mid-range and €6,000 to €15,000 premium. Kube Interiors' starting price page doesn't mention appliances.
How much contingency should I add?
Aloco Kitchens advises adding 15% to whatever your first budget is. On a €20,000 kitchen that's €3,000.
